Welcome to my webpage on McDonalds. This page was created for entertainment purposes. McDonalds is one of my favourite restaurants so I decided to dedicate this page to my favourite meal. I hope this page doesn’t make you hungry!

McDonalds has been around for a long time. McDonalds was launched around 1955 by two brothers named Dick and Mac McDonald in Illinois. Later (early 60’s) as things went great more McDonald’s locations opened up all over the U.S. and Canada. The First McDonalds location opened in Canada on June 1st 1967 in Richmond British Columbia, later the same year or early 1968 a couple of locations opened up in Ontario, then progressed to other countries around the world. Today there are a couple of hundred thousand McDonald’s locations all over globally, served 99 million, serving 1 billion and counting.

The pictures on the left and right are how McDonalds restaurants used to look back in around 1956 to the early 1960's.

In the 1950’s and 1960’s burgers were a “big thing” In the beginning it was just plain old “McDonald’s Burgers + the fries” “Get your McDonald’s Burgers for 0.15 Cents” Later McDonalds introduced the Big MAC (1968), Egg McMuffin 1973, Filet-O-Fish 1969 (was called Fish-in-chips) Happy Meals in 1979 etc…As time went on in the 80’s there were more products to choose from, more toys and treats for the kids, then in late 1992 McDonalds introduced the Pizza Combo ( I actually remember this! ) The pizza was good it was 4 small tiny slices just like the pizza hut personal pan pizza. But they found it was taking so long to make people had to wait about 5 minutes every time they placed an order and not all McDonalds Restaurants were equip to handle the flow of traffic of peoples request for the pizza. That’s too bad I really liked it as a kid. Then in 1998 they discontinued the pizza. There are different reasons out there regarding the discontinuation of the “Mc Pizza”. Short lived 6 years of the McDonalds Pizza!

This picture is from the states, I couldn't find one from here. I'm not to sure if they still carry the pizza in some places. But I believe that they do, in some countries they even have HotDogs.

McDonalds has always given out toys to the children and have fun little exercise booklets ready. (I remember I used to get them too!) So the happy meal has been around for a long time now.

Today, in 2006, McDonalds still sells its junk….of course, but they are also turning healthy. Now you can order Apple slices, Salads, 6 different subs and sandwiches to choose from. Really it is not McDonald’s that makes us fat it is what we choose to eat! I can go into McDonald’s everyday and not gain a pound if I choose the correct foods, for example, I could order Orange Juice, and a Salad with a sub. If you go to any other “junk” restaurant as in KFC…You can’t make the same choices. There is more variety at McDonalds.

Funny, how in 1976 in Canada McDonalds burgers were only 0.20 Cents each and now in 2006-2007 a burger alone is about only $4.25 WOW! I wonder what the price will be in another 30 to 35 years later. Perhaps $8.99 or more…

Now, Lets have a look at some VINTAGE packages from McDonald's

This is a picture of the packaging they used back in around 1978-1989, this picture I believe was taken around 1985. These are 2 different cups the one with all the "M's" is from around 1986 and the other one is from 1999.

McDonalds has gone though many transformations on their products. Before they used to have “Styrofoam” boxes that all the burgers used to come in, then (1991) they changed it to the “wrappers” for environmental reasons. But some people used to complain that their burgers were getting “smashed” by the fries, sauce packages Etcetera. Then, in late 2005 or early 2006 they introduced the boxes back again, but, made with 100% recycled cardboard.
I took a couple of big bits, Its actually quite good when you wait 10 minutes after its been cooked! One thing that I'm glad about is that since we have had the box back, putting my fries in the other slot has been much easier. Thank goodness!
I Love dipping my Fries in Tarder or McChicken Sauce. Ummmm! Yummm!
These Fries are what many people around the world crave for.
More Fries...Anyone?
I am glad that I have a space to put my fries in! That is what the other side of the box is for. I also love to have my fries in Tarder Sauce or McChicken Sauce. Try it out. next time whenever you walk into McDonalds...Ask for Tarder Sauce or MAC. Sauce. Its so good.

This is the new global bags and Cups for McDonalds. The bag shows the slogan "I'm lov'in it!" in many Languages. If you go to any McDonalds around the world you will see the same packaging for the bags. Hey, I guess this saves on marketing costs somewhat!

00's-"I'm Lov'in It!" (Global Slogan all countries/Languages) The Jingle: "ba da ba ba ba... I'm Lov'in It!"

Just a quick Note: Too all the people out there who say they are Vegetarians Did you know that their Fries are cooked in a mixture of Animal and Vegetable oils? Yes. Its’ true, though they do not say which animal oil….my sources tell me that actually it is Beef oil, it used to be pig oil, but I believe it depends on which country it is, different country different standards.

If you do not believe that they use animal oil well…then you can check on the official Canadian Website under “our potato story”. (I have provided a link to the "Canadian McDonalds Official Website") Hey, doesn’t bother me. I still love their Fries, but one thing bothers me a lot though it is when the dam McDonalds’ workers don’t watch how much SALT they are putting into the Fries. I hate getting the salty batch of fries!

I'm sure after looking at my site you probably want to head off to McDonalds. Go ahead just remember this site is not to encourage you to eat junk/high fatty foods. This site was created for entertainment purposes only. Just remember that eating McDonalds doesn’t make you fat, it is the proportion size as well as what you choose to eat at McDonalds. Just remember its not all junk as the “media” wants you to believe!
